The University campus is set in 250 acres of parkland and woods, just outside the city. Both the Lake District and the Scottish border are easily accessible from Lancaster, and excursions to Anglo-Saxon and Anglo-Scandinavian runic inscriptions in these areas will be organised as part of the conference.
