Bursaries

Several bursaries will be awarded to students attending the conference. We anticipate that these will cover the cost of attending the conference, but student delegates will have to fund their own travel costs to get to Lancaster.

Students wishing to apply for these bursaries should submit a letter or email to the Conference Secretary by 15 March 2005, giving the following information:

• Name and contact details (including email address)
• Name of university and degree for which you are studying
• Name and contact details of supervisor (who should be asked to submit a letter of recommendation separately)
• Brief outline of your work on runes and the significance of the conference for your studies
• Please indicate if you wish to give a paper or prepare a poster

Bursary holders are not required either to give a paper or poster presentation but, if you wish to do so, please also submit a brief abstract with your application.

We will notify the successful applicants as soon after the deadline as possible, and not later than 1 May 2005.
